Fund Money Market Account
The AHR Fund Account is an FDIC insured money market account currently (09/01/10) paying .5% - considerably more than is paid by banks for small savings/ or debit accounts. It is offered by our financial custodians, who are Harris Bank, Venture Bank, Beacon Bank, M & I Trust, First Bank and Trust and American Chartered. Safe and available when you need it, the Fund Account is the right choice for the conservative investor.
Same-day payment of claims. Most administrators have a 2 week ‘backlog’ of claims to be processed, and issue checks once a week.
We have no backlog, and issue checks daily. In fact, 97% of claims sent to us are paid and checks mailed within 1 business day.
With AHR, You don’t have to wonder if your claim was received, or wait for weeks to get it paid.
We pay your doctors and hospitals directly, if you wish. You just tell us where to send the check, and it’s done.
This is why most doctors and hospitals don’t demand payment up front if they know you are with AHR- they know they will be paid promptly and accurately.
On-line submission of claims. Log in, tell us who to pay, attach your documentation and hit the ‘send’ button. You’re done!
Want proof? Go to your home page on our website and you will see that the claim is in our system. And even better, you will receive
an email confirmation from us when it’s paid.
Real people with real answers. When you call AHR, you won’t get routed around by an automated phone system.
The phone will be answered by a professional who has instant access to everything needed to give you answers and solutions.
Infinite flexibility. We can handle any kind of plan you have in mind, provide any solution you need.
We can provide multiple accounts, split payments between HRA and FSA, combine HSA and HRA, pay only certain percentages,
or for only certain services, or pay only after a certain deductible limit has been reached.
No debit cards means no cheating. Let’s face it- it’s easy to scam a health plan that provides debit cards or checkbooks.
And that’s why we don’t offer them. The company dollars that go to your health plan with AHR are totally secure.
They are locked down for medical care only, not for ‘salary enhancement’.
Real time information and reporting. Employers and employees can call AHR or log in to our website and get up to the second
information on anything they need to know about their health plan.
Expertise. AHR has been the ‘go to’ company for information and advice about health care issues and plan design for years.
We are internationally recognized experts in health care utilization and consumer behavior, and that is why our plans perform
as expected, and cost as predicted, year after year. That is why they are sustainable and that is why they succeed.

Would you like to have another tax-free investment? Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are the answer. HSAs are like an IRA that you can use to pay for medical care.
If you have a HSA eligible health insurance policy, you can: Invest Up to $8,150 each year in a tax-exempt HSA. Like an Ira, deposits are tax deductible,
and made with pre-tax dollars.
Invest your HSA in mutual funds, money market funds and a host of other allowable securities
Let you HSA grow, year after year, earning interest, until you retire! And the best of all, you can have a Roth or an IRA and a HSA!
If you need medical care, your HSA is there to pay for it. Here is how it works:
First, you can use your HSA to pay for care before you reach your health insurance deductible.
Once your expenses reach your deductible, your health insurance kicks into pay for your medical care
You can even use your HSA to pay for products or services not covered by your insurance!
Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) cut insurance costs immediately.
Employers have found that premiums for HMO and low-co pay health insurance policies increase dramatically, year after year. The reason for this is simple:
the more your insurance company has to pay out for medical care, the more it will charge you for insurance premiums.
The solution is just as simple: get an inexpensive high deductible insurance policy to cover large or catastrophic expenses for your employees,
and pay for their routine care yourself using a HRA. Here are some of the advantages of a HRA:
-The health insurance deductible can be as low as $250, or as high as $25,000
-HRA payments are deductible for the employer and not taxable as income to the employee
-The HRA only pays for care your employees actually receive, instead of paying insurance premiums for what they might receive.
-Accounts are funded and owned by the employer, not the employee. Employees cannot take the accounts with them if they quit or get fired.
-You can share costs with your employees. For example, you can have your employees pay half of their medical bills and cover the other half for them with a HRA.
To find out more about how a HRA plan can work for you, call AHR at 800-570-3757, or e-mail us at kent@ahr.net
